Bakarwadi is a fried and crisp pinwheel or spiral snack from western India. It has a sweet, spicy and tangy taste. It is made with a dough of gram flour and all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour, and the stuffing of coconut, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and some spices. A souring ingredient is added to give a tangy flavour. Sugar is also added for sweetness.
